Platinum Pro Painters – Calgary (http://www.PlatinumProPaintersCalgary.com), the leading painting/renovating company serving Calgary, Okotoks, Airdrie, Chestermere, and the surrounding areas, is reacting to the company being slated to appear on upcoming episode of HGTV’s Holmes Makes It Right.

A spin-off of HGTV’s similarly successful Holmes on Homes, Holmes Makes It Right features host Mike Holmes, who has made a living on physically repairing people’s homes and giving them a second chance at being liveable, as the lead project coordinator.

“We’re so proud to be part of a company that is being recognized for our commitment to quality work,” says Chris White, owner of Platinum Pro Painters – Calgary. “All of our franchises share the same work ethic and principles across the board. It’s great to be acknowledged for those values.”

For the episode, currently scheduled to air in summer 2014, Platinum Pro Painters will be doing both interior and exterior residential work, both of which are part of what the company regularly offers its clients. White explains that the company’s workers will be doing what they do best; reviving people’s homes with high-quality paint jobs for both the interior and exterior of the house.

“Mike Holmes is a public figure who prides himself on repairing less than admirable houses,” White concludes. “He is constantly held to a high standard and being part of that is just further proof as to the quality of work that Platinum Pro Painters is known for.”

  1. I called in Platinum Pro Painters to give me a quote on painting my home. Said they would have the job done in 7 days. We decided to stain our woodwork which made the job take much longer. Two months longer. We were patient but our job seemed to go from good to bad. We did a lot of renovations including tearing out our old railing and spindles. Once the railing was put in and stained they brought in the rest of the painting crew and one of their workers dented the brand new railing. My husband saw this and the manager was right there in the vicinity and didn't say one thing to him. In fact, another co-worker covered for him that he is a good guy and may have been having a bad day. We started out with a consistent stain color with the woodwork. Even paid extra to get the stain we wanted. But all throughout the house we have inconsistent staining and it chips away easily. Constantly asking them politely to retouch and refinish things properly. We tried to get the owner of the company to come over to see the work but he ensured that his manager could handle it. In fact, the manager told us that we could only deal with him and not the owner. Not acceptable to us. They tried to tell us that the contract was fulfilled when it wasn't. Part of the contract was to paint the closet bi-fold doors and all the exterior doors inside and out. Arguing with us until I showed him the contract and had to physically showed them that it wasn't done. The only way the owner would come was when it was time to pay and we would express to him the deficiencies. He would come in, make promise to repair and than we would pay. Keep in mind we paid deposits, and paid portions of the job as it progressed when anyone else may have not paid them until the job was done to their satisfaction. I think we were too nice, They sent us a final invoice on top of the original contact and demanded we paid it. I told him that I would not pay the bill it did not make any sense at all. Than I agreed to pay half and I than we could discuss the other half if he would agree to come and see the work. I felt I had to pull teeth to get him to come. He agreed that he would come to see the house. I expressed to him that the stringers on the stairs and the posts had a gritty feel as well as other areas of the house. He did show up and constantly repeated that all he wanted to do was make us happy. I told him he should of come when we called him. He is a great sales man but lousy at listening to his clients. He needed the money to pay his guys. He never made us happy. He made promise to come in and repair but we haven't heard from them since. We had to deal with him and his manager talking abruptly to us. It wasn't right. We feel ripped off. We constantly find inconsistencies throughout the house. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

  2. Hi there,

I always appreciate all my clients feedback but in all honesty, this can not be a client of ours. I have never had a situation like the one mentioned above. We strive on 24 hour customer service and we are very proud to do so. Im not sure if they got us confused with a different company but we would never handle a situation in this matter.

If by chance it is our company, you are more than welcome to call us anytime to fix any deficiencies you have. Look forward to hearing from you.
